The American Legion met at the Lee Beckner home Tuesday night, Feb. 5 and elected the following of ficers: commander, John Fick; vice commander, Earl McCabe; adj., C. E. Linn; finance, Harry Normoyle; service, Joel Engelmann; sergeant-at-arms, Neal Doherty; chaplain, Eugene Normoyle. The next meet ing will be Feb. 19 for installation and an open meeting. Waddell has received a call to the Christian church at Falls City and the family will leave soon. Their son Maynard has arrived in the States from Ger many. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ashbaugh of Vancouver visited Mrs. Ada Can non on their way to visit in Wal lowa. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon White are spending a few days in Portland.
